Claude: Core — Projects, Artifacts & Connectors

A hands-on working level for experienced Claude users in any role. Set Claude up the way you work, build Projects that stay useful, get precise answers from long documents, create Artifacts and simple interactive tools just by describing them, run sourced research, bring your own work in through the connectors your company has switched on, and use Skills. For experienced Claude users in any business role, no technical background needed. Developers should take the Claude Mastery: Developer Track instead. No code, no installs, no command line

What this course covers

The course runs across 9 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • Making Claude yours — Set profile preferences and a writing style so every chat starts closer to how you work. Compare an answer before and after
  • Projects that stay useful — Write Project instructions, choose reference files, and decide what to leave out so the Project stays accurate over time
  • Working with long documents — Ask precise questions of a long document, ask for page or section references, and check answers against the source
  • Artifacts by description — Create a one-pager, a checklist and a simple tracker as Artifacts by describing them, then refine them in plain English
  • Interactive Artifacts without code — Describe a small calculator or intake form, test it, fix it by telling Claude what is wrong, and share it
  • Research mode and web search — Run sourced research, judge which sources to trust, and turn the findings into a short brief
  • Connectors: bringing your work in — What connectors do, which ones your company has switched on, and using one you actually have — or the upload path when you don't
  • Skills: Claude doing it your way — Use an existing Skill, then write a simple Skill in plain English for a task you repeat
  • Capstone: your recurring work, set up — Set up a Project plus one Artifact or Skill for a real recurring task and show the before-and-after

Skills you build

Results are measured against named skills in the OneRange taxonomy of more than 10,000 skills, so a manager sees proficiency per skill rather than a completion tick.

Who it is for

Experienced Claude users in any business role — no technical background needed. The material is pitched at intermediate level, and takes roughly 120 minutes at a typical pace. How it is delivered and assessed

Delivery is conversational and interactive, including guided lab, branching scenario exercises. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past.

Understanding is checked with a tool assessment of 5 items, with a pass mark of 70%.

Administrators can copy this course into their own library and adapt it — edit the outline, change the duration, swap the assessment format, or ground it in internal documentation so answers cite the company's own source material.
