The course runs across 9 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

Introduction to Claude Essentials — A practical introduction to getting real work done with Claude. Learners navigate the interface and models, write effective prompts, organize work in Projects, and create documents and apps with Artifacts. By the end they can confidently use Claude for everyday writing, analysis, and research.
Navigating the Claude Interface and Selecting Models — An introduction to the Claude user interface and the current model families, Haiku, Sonnet, Opus and Fable, and how to pick the right one for a task. Haiku is the fastest and lightest, for quick answers, summaries and simple extraction. Sonnet is the versatile everyday default for writing, analysis and coding. Opus is a reasoning specialist for demanding problems that need sustained thinking. Fable is Anthropic's most capable model, built for long, complex, multi-step work; it is slower and uses the most of your usage limit. Fable is available on paid plans, including Team and Enterprise, but only if the company's administrator has enabled it, and on some seat types it uses usage credits. Learners should check which models appear in their own model selector rather than assume, and should start with Sonnet and step up only when a task needs it.
Foundations of Prompting in Claude — Learn the core principles of writing effective prompts for Claude: provide clear context, say what role you want Claude to take, and separate your material from your request using plain labeled sections. Put source material under 'Notes:' and your task under 'What I need:'. Example: Notes: [meeting notes]. What I need: Summarize the decisions and list actions with owners and due dates; do not invent missing details.
Advanced Prompting: Few-Shot Prompting and Chain of Thought — Practice advanced prompting techniques by giving Claude examples (few-shot prompting) and guiding it to think step-by-step for complex reasoning tasks.
Working with File Uploads and Context — Learn how to upload documents, data files, and code to Claude. Practice extracting key information, summarizing long texts, and querying complex data sources.
Organizing Work with Claude Projects — Understand how to set up Projects, define custom system instructions for a project, upload a shared knowledge base, and collaborate within a structured workspace.
Generating and Iterating with Artifacts — Enable and use Artifacts to generate, view, and refine standalone content like code, websites, SVGs, and documents in a dedicated side-by-side window.
Building Interactive Prototypes in Artifacts — A hands-on exercise using Artifacts to build and instantly preview a functional interactive tool or dashboard based on your custom prompt requirements.
Putting It All Together: Real-World Workflow Automation — Synthesize your skills in a final capstone lab: create a Project, upload reference files, use advanced prompting to analyze the data, and generate a final interactive Artifact report.
