What this course covers

The course runs across 10 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • The Cowork Toolkit: Connectors, Skills and Plugins — Learn what each one is in plain terms, where to manage them (Customize), and how they change what Cowork can do.
  • Connecting Your Tools — Connect email, calendar, file storage, chat and a CRM; understand what access each connector grants and how to limit it.
  • Multi-Source Tasks — Prepare for a meeting from calendar, email threads and documents in one request; produce a brief and follow-up drafts.
  • Working on the Web: Built-in Browser and Claude in Chrome — Have Cowork open sites, read pages and fill forms; know when to use the built-in browser versus your own Chrome.
  • Using Skills — Apply ready-made skills (reports, reviews, briefs) to your own work and adjust the result.
  • Plugins for Your Role — Install a role plugin (sales, marketing, finance, HR, legal, support) and run two of its workflows end-to-end.
  • Scheduled Tasks — Set up a recurring brief or report that runs in the cloud without your computer awake, and review its first results.
  • Assigning Work from Anywhere — Start and check tasks from phone, web or the Chrome side panel; understand how sessions continue in the cloud and pick up across devices.
  • Memory, Projects and Continuity — Use projects and shared memory so Cowork carries context between sessions and back into chat.
  • Acting in Live Systems Responsibly — Decide when Cowork may send, update a record or post on your behalf, when to require approval, and how to recover from a wrong action.
