The course runs across 8 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • Introduction to Claude Code and Terminal Workflows — Learn how to install, authenticate, and initialize Claude Code in your terminal, and understand the basic command structure and interactive shell.
  • Establishing and Managing Project Context — Understand how Claude Code indexes codebases, how to use ignore files to control context, and how to explicitly guide the agent to relevant files.
  • Guided Lab: Exploring an Unfamiliar Codebase — A hands-on guided exercise using Claude Code to search, map, and document the architecture of an existing project directly from the terminal.
  • Executing Safe Multi-File Edits — Master the syntax and prompting techniques required to direct Claude Code to make coordinated, multi-file code modifications safely.
  • Code Lab: Implementing a New Feature — A hands-on coding lab where you prompt Claude Code to implement a specific functional requirement across multiple source files.
  • Running Tests and Interactive Iteration — Learn to execute test suites through Claude Code, interpret the tool's feedback, and guide it to iteratively fix failing tests.
  • Review Discipline: Evaluating Agent Proposals — Develop the critical evaluation skills needed to analyze proposed diffs, catch subtle agent errors, and manage the human-in-the-loop approval workflow.
  • Code Lab: The Complete Edit, Run, and Review Cycle — A comprehensive, end-to-end capstone exercise where you manage a complex refactoring task from initial prompt to final verified commit.
