Claude Code for Everyone: Mastery — Owning Team Tools
The expert level for business builders whose Claude Code tools other people now depend on, built on the 4Ds of AI fluency: Delegation, Description, Discernment and Diligence. Learners decide what belongs in Claude Code, in Claude chat or with engineers, write specs Claude Code and an engineer can both follow, run a small portfolio of tools with saved skills and schedules, review what Claude Code produces, and work with IT on data, access and approved settings. They finish by measuring impact honestly and leading adoption on their team. No code.
What this course covers
The course runs across 10 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.
- Delegation: what belongs in Claude Code, in Claude chat, or with engineers — Sort realistic requests into build-it-yourself in Claude Code, Claude chat, engineers, or not automating at all. Anything live, money-moving, high-stakes or used by many people goes to engineers.
- Description: specs Claude Code and an engineer can both follow — Write a one-page spec with goal, users, inputs, rules, out of scope, allowed data and acceptance checks. Paste it in the mode that only plans and correct the plan wherever it drifts.
- Running a small portfolio of team tools — Keep a register with an owner, a backup, saved plans and CLAUDE.md rules for each tool. Decide which tools to improve, hand to engineers or retire.
- Repeatable runs: skills and scheduled tasks (if your plan includes it) — Save a routine you run every week as a skill your team can start with a slash command, and schedule it in the desktop app or the cloud where your plan allows. Learners decide which runs must still wait for a person.
- Approved plugins and connectors (if your company allows it) — Use plugins and connectors from your company's approved list, check what each one can do before turning it on, and never install unapproved ones as a workaround.
- Discernment: testing and reviewing what Claude Code produces — Test a tool against answers you already know and hunt for missed items, false alarms and summaries that contradict the detail. Turn each mistake into a fix in plan mode and a check that stops it coming back.
- Diligence: data, access and accountability — Decide what data each tool may touch, who can use it, which outputs need human sign-off and how you disclose AI use. Write it on an ownership card.
- Working with IT: managed settings and approved plans — Learn what admins can lock for everyone - approval modes, connectors and plugins - and practise asking IT for access with a clear, short request, never a workaround.
- Measuring impact honestly — Capture a baseline, then measure time saved, errors caught, adoption and the time you spend maintaining the tool. Report what got worse as well as what improved.
- Capstone: leading adoption on your team — Fix, document and introduce a team tool with a delegation map, a spec, a quality check, an ownership card and a rollout note, and answer a sceptical colleague.
Skills you build
Results are measured against named skills in the OneRange taxonomy of more than 10,000 skills, so a manager sees proficiency per skill rather than a completion tick.
Who it is for
Business builders who own tools other people rely on. The material is pitched at expert level, and takes roughly 150 minutes at a typical pace. Because every session adapts, someone who already knows a topic moves through it quickly instead of sitting through an explanation they do not need.
It sits in the Tool: Claude track of the Vero AI Catalog, and can be assigned to one person, a team, or the whole company.
How it is delivered and assessed
Delivery is conversational and interactive, including branching scenario, guided lab, role play exercises. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past.
Understanding is checked with a lab assessment of 5 items, with a pass mark of 70%.
Administrators can copy this course into their own library and adapt it — edit the outline, change the duration, swap the assessment format, or ground it in internal documentation so answers cite the company's own source material.
