Gemini training for teams working in Google Workspace
Vero AI Catalog › Gemini training
For a company running on Google Workspace, Gemini is already in the tools people use all day — Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Meet. That closeness is the opportunity and the risk: it is easy to accept a draft nobody checked. The Vero AI Catalog's Gemini track covers nine courses, from a first prompt through research and data work to Gemini inside Google Workspace and building on the API.
Each Gemini course runs in OneRange Vero as an interactive session that adapts to the person taking it. The tutor explains, works an example inside the Docs, Sheets or Gmail task the person actually does, checks understanding and changes course when the answer shows a gap. Someone who already uses Gemini daily is through the fundamentals quickly; someone opening it for the first time is not rushed. Results are recorded against named skills in the OneRange taxonomy, so a manager sees proficiency per skill, not a completion tick. Assign it to one person, a team or the whole company.

Prove the skill
- Gemini Essentials Proficiency — Measures whether someone can prompt Gemini for a usable first draft, bring in the right context, and judge the answer before it leaves their desk.
- Gemini Advanced Proficiency — For daily users: multi-step work across Docs, Sheets and Gmail, scored against a rubric rather than a multiple-choice key.
- Gemini Mastery Assessment — The mastery-level check for people building on the API and AI Studio.
- Google Workspace AI Proficiency — A wider Google Workspace AI proficiency check, covering the AI features people meet across Workspace rather than Gemini alone.
How the training works
Every course here is delivered by OneRange Vero as an interactive session. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past: the tutor explains an idea, works an example, asks the person to try it, and adjusts what comes next to the answer it gets back. Practice, scenarios, labs and role-plays are part of the session rather than an add-on.
Courses can be grounded in your own material, so examples, terminology and policies match how your company actually works. Results map to named skills in the OneRange taxonomy of more than 10,000 skills, so a manager sees proficiency per skill instead of a completion tick. Assign to one person, a team or the whole company, and track progress from the Vero dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the training take?
Gemini: Essentials runs about two hours at a typical pace, the everyday-work and playbook courses are shorter, and the Core, Advanced and Mastery courses run longer. Because sessions adapt, people who already use Gemini in Workspace every day finish well inside the estimate.
How is it assigned to a team?
An administrator assigns it from the Vero dashboard to one person, a team, a department or everyone at once. Progress and results appear per person and per skill, so a manager can see who has finished, who is mid-course, and where the remaining gaps are.
Can we customise it with our own documents and terminology?
Yes. An administrator can add your company's own standing instructions, examples and documents so the course teaches the tool in the context of your systems, terminology and policies, without changing the underlying catalog course. See how the customization layer works on the Vero page.
Is there an assessment?
Yes. Gemini Essentials, Advanced and Mastery proficiency assessments score open responses against a rubric, and a broader Google Workspace AI proficiency assessment is available too. Every course also ends with its own check, so you get a per-course result alongside the standalone score.
