What's New in Claude for Everyone

A short refresher on the latest Claude for Everyone updates

What this course covers

The course runs across 7 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • Make docs, slides and designs in any chat — What's different: You can now ask for a document, a slide deck or a design in any conversation, and Claude Docs, Claude Slides and Claude Design are available on every plan, including Free. Why it matters for your work: You can draft, edit and share real work files, such as a memo or a deck, without leaving Claude. Try it (about 2 minutes): Type /docs and ask for a one-page project update, then use Share to send the link or Export to save it as a Word file. No access? Here's what you'd see: Claude Docs, Claude Slides, and Claude Design appear as options in any conversation across all plans.
  • Chat and Cowork are now one Claude — What's different: Claude no longer makes you pick between chat and Cowork, so any conversation can now take on bigger tasks like building a report or deck, and your chats, projects, connectors and skills carry over. Why it matters for your work: You can start every task in a normal chat and let Claude decide when it needs to do longer work, instead of choosing a mode first. Try it (about 2 minutes): In a new chat, ask Claude to turn a short list of notes into a one-page report, and watch it do the work and hand back a finished file. No access? Here's what you'd see: Users no longer see a choice between chat and Cowork modes when starting a new conversation in Claude.
  • Build live dashboards from your data — What's different: Claude Dashboards (beta, paid plans) turns data from a connected source, such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Salesforce, into a dashboard that updates as the data changes. Why it matters for your work: You can get a chart you can trust and share, and click any number to see how it was calculated. Try it (about 2 minutes): In the message box, open the output options, pick Dashboards, and ask for a simple dashboard of a connected data source; then click a number to see its query. Needs: paid plans. No access? Here's what you'd see: The message box output options now include a Dashboards option to generate live dashboards where clicking a number displays its query.
  • Use Claude inside Google Docs, Sheets and Slides — What's different: A new Claude add-on for Google Workspace (beta, paid plans) opens Claude in a sidebar next to your Doc, Sheet or Slides deck so it can read and edit the file. Why it matters for your work: You can get help with formulas, edits and slides right where you already work, with changes waiting for your approval. Try it (about 2 minutes): Install Claude from the Google Workspace Marketplace, open a Google Doc, choose Extensions, then Claude, then Open Claude, and ask it to tighten one paragraph. No access? Here's what you'd see: A Claude sidebar appears next to a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slides deck, allowing it to read and edit the file.
  • A new Opus model — What's different: Anthropic released a new Opus model, the first of the Claude 5.5 family, which it says matches its top Fable model on most work at a lower cost. Why it matters for your work: You get near-top quality for hard work like analysis and writing without needing the most expensive model. Try it (about 2 minutes): Open the model menu in a chat, pick the newest Opus model, and give it a task you usually find hard, such as summarizing a long report. No access? Here's what you'd see: The model menu in a chat now displays a new Opus model from the Claude 5.5 family.
  • Also new — - Chat and Cowork are now one Claude on Enterprise: Enterprise plans now feature a single Claude experience combining chat and longer cloud tasks. - See and edit what Claude remembers: Users can now view, edit, or delete what Claude remembers under Topics in Settings. - A new Sonnet model: Anthropic released a new Sonnet model in the Claude 5.5 family. - Make short animated explainers with Motion: Claude Motion creates short animated explainer videos from prompts that you can edit and download. - A new Fable model: Anthropic released a new Fable model for complex coding and knowledge work on paid plans. - Automated web search and layout update: Claude now searches the web automatically when useful, removing the manual web search toggle switch. - A new Haiku model: Anthropic released a new Haiku model designed for fast, high-volume tasks. - Ready-made legal artifacts in Claude for Legal: Claude for Legal added a gallery of ready-to-use interactive artifacts like matter trackers and contract review tables. - Smart reports and in-app surveys for Enterprise: Enterprise admins can run smart reports and send short in-app surveys to team members.
  • Try one on your own work — Pick the one main change from this course that is most useful to your job. Try it in your own Claude on a real task, then paste or describe what you got. The coach gives short, specific feedback. No access to the app or plan it needs? Describe how you would use it on a real task this week. That counts too. There is no score and no pass or fail: finishing this completes the course.

Skills you build

Results are measured against named skills in the OneRange taxonomy of more than 10,000 skills, so a manager sees proficiency per skill rather than a completion tick.

Who it is for

The material is pitched at intermediate level, and takes roughly 20 minutes at a typical pace. Because every session adapts, someone who already knows a topic moves through it quickly instead of sitting through an explanation they do not need.

It sits in the Tool: Claude track of the Vero AI Catalog, and can be assigned to one person, a team, or the whole company.

How it is delivered and assessed

Delivery is conversational and interactive. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past.

Understanding is checked with a lab assessment, with a pass mark of 70%.

Administrators can copy this course into their own library and adapt it — edit the outline, change the duration, swap the assessment format, or ground it in internal documentation so answers cite the company's own source material.
