Grok: Mastery — Leading Work with Grok

Lead reliable work with Grok through delegation, description, discernment and diligence. Package your expertise for the team, check every output, supervise the agent features you actually have and measure impact honestly, with no technical background needed.

What this course covers

The course runs across 10 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • Delegation: choose work and tools — Decide which parts of the Wrenvale weekly update go to Grok chat, Search with sources, a Skill or a scheduled Automation, and which stay with a person. Use only the features your screen and plan actually show.
  • Description: scope and checkpoints — Write clear instructions for the weekly update: the inputs, the exact output format, what counts as done, when Grok should stop and ask, and where a person reviews the work.
  • Package reusable expertise — Package the supplied policy and report instructions as a Grok Skill (describe it, use Skill Creator or upload a file), or as exact written team instructions if Skills isn't available. Test a normal case, an exception and a missing-source case.
  • Team context and optional connectors — Bring in your team's approved files or email through a connector if your company allows it, and check that each source is current and that you're allowed to use it. Uploading or pasting the files works just as well, whichever email and file tools your company uses.
  • Discernment: challenge claims — Check Grok's figures against the raw data yourself, challenge conclusions the data doesn't support, and open every citation before you rely on it. Say clearly what is still uncertain.
  • Diligence: data and accountability — Share only the data a task needs, keep payment details out, ignore instructions hidden inside source files, disclose AI use as your company policy requires and name the person accountable for the result.
  • Supervise available agent features — Scope any agent feature you actually have, such as a scheduled Automation or Grok Bot if your plan includes it, with checkpoints and approval before anything is sent or changed. If you don't have one, write the action and approval plan instead. Leading Grok Bot and Shared Bots across a team is covered in Grok Bot: Mastery — Shared Bots & Leading Adoption.
  • Specify a developer handoff — Write a plain-language spec a developer could build from later: inputs, outputs, who can access what, tests that prove it works, what happens when something fails and which steps need human approval. No code needed.
  • Measure impact honestly — Compare the 90-minute baseline with your new workflow using measured time or a clearly labelled estimate, plus a quality or rework measure. Plan a small pilot and the point at which you would roll back.
  • Lead adoption: 4Ds capstone — Bring delegation, description, discernment and diligence together into one accountable team workflow with checked output and a named owner, then practise introducing it to a sceptical teammate.

Skills you build

Results are measured against named skills in the OneRange taxonomy of more than 10,000 skills, so a manager sees proficiency per skill rather than a completion tick.

Who it is for

Experienced Grok users in any role — no technical background needed. The material is pitched at expert level, and takes roughly 150 minutes at a typical pace. Because every session adapts, someone who already knows a topic moves through it quickly instead of sitting through an explanation they do not need.

It sits in the Tool: Grok track of the Vero AI Catalog, and can be assigned to one person, a team, or the whole company.

How it is delivered and assessed

Delivery is conversational and interactive, including branching scenario, guided lab, role play exercises. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past.

Understanding is checked with a lab assessment of 5 items, with a pass mark of 70%.

Administrators can copy this course into their own library and adapt it — edit the outline, change the duration, swap the assessment format, or ground it in internal documentation so answers cite the company's own source material.
