About Steve
Steve Gilman is co-founder and CEO of OneRange, the company behind OneRange Vero, the AI-native training platform, and OneRange Atlas, the upskilling marketplace. He founded OneRange in New York in 2021 to bring individualized, measured skill development to the modern workforce.
His view of training comes from two of the most demanding development systems there are. Steve was drafted by the Detroit Tigers out of Yale, then served as an intelligence officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, with postings at the U.S. embassies in Cairo and Abu Dhabi, and holds a direct commission as a U.S. Navy Lieutenant. Both worlds run on the same method: assess honestly, train individually, measure relentlessly.
After Columbia Business School, Steve found corporate learning lagging far behind both. He now lectures at Columbia Business School on the future of work, and writes about AI fluency, AI readiness, training budgets and how companies prove the skills their people build.
