The course runs across 8 topics, each one a short adaptive session rather than a recorded lecture. The tutor explains the idea, works an example, checks understanding, and adjusts the next step to the answer given.

  • Getting Started with Copilot across M365 — Understand the core capabilities of Microsoft 365 Copilot, learn the anatomy of an effective prompt, and navigate the Copilot interface across the M365 ecosystem.
  • Drafting and Refining Content in Word — Practice generating first drafts from prompts, rewriting existing text for tone, and summarizing lengthy documents directly within Microsoft Word.
  • Streamlining Communication in Outlook — Learn to summarize long email threads, draft clear and professional replies, and use Copilot Coaching to refine your communication tone.
  • Analyzing and Formatting Data in Excel — Explore data sets by writing natural language prompts to generate formulas, highlight key trends, and format tables in Microsoft Excel.
  • Designing Dynamic Presentations in PowerPoint — Create new presentations from text prompts or Word documents, organize slide structures, and add transition ideas using Copilot in PowerPoint.
  • Maximizing Meeting Efficiency in Teams — Generate real-time meeting recaps, extract action items, and ask specific questions about ongoing discussions using Copilot during Teams meetings.
  • Catching Up and Finding Info in Teams Chat — Quickly summarize channel discussions and direct message history to stay up-to-date on team collaborations without reading every message.
  • Cross-App Workflows and Prompting Best Practices — Synthesize your learning by building multi-app workflows (e.g., Teams meeting to Word doc to PowerPoint) and mastering advanced prompting techniques.

Who it is for

All M365 employees. The material is pitched at beginner level, and takes roughly 120 minutes at a typical pace. Because every session adapts, someone who already knows a topic moves through it quickly instead of sitting through an explanation they do not need.

It sits in the Tool: Microsoft Copilot track of the Vero AI Catalog, and can be assigned to one person, a team, or the whole company.

How it is delivered and assessed

Delivery is conversational and interactive, including guided lab exercises. There is no video to sit through and no slide deck to click past.

Understanding is checked with a lab assessment of 5 items, with a pass mark of 70%.

Administrators can copy this course into their own library and adapt it — edit the outline, change the duration, swap the assessment format, or ground it in internal documentation so answers cite the company's own source material.
