What the assessment measures
The assessment scores six dimensions of organizational AI readiness. Strategy and governance carry a slightly higher weight, because weakness in either caps the value every other dimension can produce.
- Strategy and leadership — whether AI work is tied to named business outcomes and an accountable owner
- Governance and risk — acceptable-use policy, data handling rules, and human review of AI output
- Data and infrastructure — whether institutional knowledge is current, permissioned, and retrievable
- Talent and skills — measured per-role proficiency rather than seat counts or completion rates
- Adoption and workflow integration — whether AI is embedded in real processes or used ad hoc
- Measurement — whether outcomes are baselined and re-measured on a fixed cadence
How the score is calculated
Each question is scored on a four-point maturity scale. Dimension scores are normalized to 0-100 and combined into a weighted overall score, which maps to one of five stages: Exploring, Experimenting, Operationalizing, Scaling, or Leading.
The report names your binding constraint — the weakest dimension — rather than averaging strengths and weaknesses into a single reassuring number.

What does the assessment measure?
Six dimensions of organizational AI readiness: strategy and leadership, governance and risk, data and infrastructure, talent and skills, adoption and workflow integration, and measurement. Strategy and governance carry a slightly higher weight because weakness there caps every other dimension
How is the readiness score calculated?
Each question is scored on a four-point maturity scale. Dimension scores are normalized to 0-100, and the overall score is a weighted average across the six dimensions. Thresholds map the total to one of five stages: Exploring, Experimenting, Operationalizing, Scaling, and Leading
Who should take it?
Leaders answering on behalf of an organization or a business unit: CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, heads of transformation, and HR or L&D leaders. For an individual's AI fluency, take the personal AI readiness assessment instead
Can I use the results in a board or budget conversation?
That is what it is designed for. The scorecard gives a defensible baseline, the risk flags name what is exposed today, and the 30/60/90 plan turns the weakest dimensions into a sequenced set of commitments
