1. What managers can do in Vero

Your view, your tools, and what to ask an admin for

In OneRange Vero, a Manager sees and supports their direct reports: the people who list you as their manager. Everything you see is scoped to that team automatically.

DashboardYour team's assignments, results, credentials, and who is past due.
Employees, My TeamYour direct reports. Add a new person to your team and open anyone's training record.
AnalyticsTraining Performance, Workforce Skills, and AI Readiness, filtered to your team.
CoursesBrowse your company's courses, pathways, and the Vero AI Catalog.
Skill Assessments and ProgramsSee what assessments and programs exist.
Send reminderEmail a nudge to someone on your team, in your name.

What needs an Admin or Course Manager

Assigning courses and pathways, building courses and pathways, and assigning skill assessments are done by Admins and Course Managers. If you regularly assign training, ask an Admin to add the Course Manager role to your account; you keep your Manager view as well. Until then, send your request to an admin with the course name, the people, and a due date.

2. Your first 15 minutes

A quick orientation

  1. Open Dashboard. Check Team Members, Total Assignments, and Assignments Past Due.
  2. Scroll to the table. Filter or search by name, and click View Insights on any row to see results without leaving the page.
  3. Open Employees, My Team, and confirm everyone who reports to you is listed. If someone is missing, ask an admin to set you as their manager.
  4. Open Analytics, Workforce Skills, and look at Skills Gaps to Address for your team.

3. Reading the Dashboard

The tiles, charts, and table

Credentials EarnedPathway credentials and company badges your team has earned.
Assignments Past DueYour first follow-up list.
Weekly ActivityTraining assigned versus completed over the last eight weeks.
Training Course StatusNot Started, In Progress, Completed, and Needs Attention, with the completion rate.
Quiz ResultsPass rate, average score, and the spread of scores.
Skill Assessment Status and Proficiency Level DistributionHow many assessments are done and where your team's assessed levels sit.

The table lists every course and assessment for your team with its pathway, progression, result, and due date. Use the Course / Assessment filter to focus on one piece of training.

4. Reading one person's record

What to look at before a 1:1

Click a name on Employees to open their record. The most useful parts for a manager:

  • Competency Baseline results for each course: their starting level, strengths, areas to develop, and how Vero adjusted the training.
  • Practice: which topics they demonstrated in labs, role-plays, and Try it activities, and the evidence they submitted.
  • Sessions: dates, minutes, what was covered, and what needs work.
  • Rubric breakdown for graded finals, criterion by criterion.
  • AI Performance Summary: Strengths, Areas to Improve, and Recommended Next. It is generated when an assignment is completed, and you can regenerate it.
  • Skills: their current level on each skill, updated by assessments and training.
  • Skill Assessments: overall level and per-skill strengths and gaps.
  • Recommended Courses: Vero's suggestions with priority and reasoning. An admin or course manager can assign them.

Tip: Bring one strength and one area to improve from the summary into your next 1:1, and ask where they will use it this week. That single question does more for behavior change than any completion rate.

5. Signals worth acting on

What the data is telling you

Needs Attention statusThe person has stalled or the course flagged a problem. Check in personally.
Unsuccessful AttemptThey did not pass the final. Look at the rubric breakdown for the weakest criterion before they retry.
Baseline far below the course levelThe course may be pitched too high. Ask an admin about an easier starting course or the pathway.
Tested outThey proved they already knew the material. Point them to the next level.
Retake requestedThey asked for another test-out attempt. An admin grants it.
Many sessions with little progressOften a time problem, not a skill problem. Protect time on the calendar.

6. Reminders that work

Automatic emails and your own nudges

Vero sends an email when training is assigned and one automatic reminder about seven days before a course is due. For everything else, use Send reminder from the Dashboard table or the person's record.

  • Add a personal note of up to 280 characters. The email comes from you, and replies go to your inbox.
  • Each person can receive one reminder a day, and each course or pathway one reminder every three days.
  • Reminder History on the person's record shows what has been sent.
  • Reminders cover courses and pathways, not skill assessments.

Tip: Name the reason, not the deadline: "This is the objection handling we talked about for the Acme renewal" gets a faster start than "Reminder: due Friday".

7. Team analytics

Using the three Analytics pages for your team

Every Analytics page is filtered to your direct reports automatically; you do not need to pick a team.

  • Training Performance: which courses and pathways your team is in, completions, average scores, and how skills moved from baseline to current on each course.
  • Workforce Skills: your team's proficiency distribution, strengths, gaps, and progression, plus the ROI tab (Proficiency Uplift, Time to Competency, Gap Closure Rate, Training Efficiency).
  • AI Readiness: your team's AI skills against a target level, with coverage gaps and recommended AI courses.

See Workforce Analytics: reading skills, gaps, and ROI for definitions of every metric.

8. Adding someone to your team

New hires and transfers

On Employees, My Team, click Add Employee. Enter their name, email, and job title (Vero uses the job title to pick training examples), add any groups, and click Send Invite. You are set as their manager automatically. Role changes and deactivations are done by an admin.

9. A weekly rhythm

Fifteen minutes that keeps training moving

  1. Monday: check Assignments Past Due and send a short personal reminder where needed.
  2. Midweek: open one person's record and read their latest AI Performance Summary before your 1:1.
  3. Friday: look at Recently Earned Credentials and recognize them in your team channel.
  4. Monthly: review Workforce Skills gaps with your admin and agree what to assign next.

10. Common questions

Quick answers

Why can't I assign training?

Assigning is done by Admins and Course Managers. Ask an admin to add the Course Manager role to your account if you assign training regularly.

Why don't I see my own training in team analytics?

Team views cover your direct reports only. Your own training is on My Training and My Profile.

Someone on my team is missing. How do I fix it?

Their manager field needs to name you. An admin can change it in Edit Member on the Employees page.

Can I read my team's conversations with the AI tutor?

No. You see results, practice evidence, sessions, and the AI Performance Summary, which give you what you need without the raw chat.

Can I send reminders by Slack or Teams?

Reminders are sent by email today, from the Dashboard or the person's record with Send reminder.
