1. Finding courses in your library
Search, chips, filters, and course families
Open Courses. The library shows your company's courses first, then the Vero AI Catalog.
| Search | Matches names, descriptions, and skills, and tolerates typos and word order. |
|---|---|
| Chips | All Courses, Created by Me, Created by My Company, and Vero AI Catalog. |
| Filters | Enterprise AI tool, duration, level, and in the catalog view, tracks, audience, and whether a course is customized. |
| Course families | Catalog courses on the same subject are grouped as a family with a ladder of levels. Level Guide explains each rung; Expand All opens every ladder. |
Each course card's menu offers Edit (or View), Assign Course, Add to Pathway, Add to program, and Delete for courses you own.
2. Five ways to start a course
Pick the fastest route to a good course
| Build a single course | Create Course, then Build a single course. Best when you know the topic and have material. |
|---|---|
| Plan from a goal | Describe the outcome. Vero reuses existing courses and proposes new ones for the gaps. |
| Course template | 354 ready-made blueprints across AI skills and 14 business functions. Use This Template opens the builder pre-filled with the name, description, level, duration, and topics; you review and publish. |
| Import Career Track | Turn a role or competency document into a set of courses and a pathway, from the Pathways tab. |
| Vero AI Catalog | Assign a ready-made OneRange course as it is, and Customize how it is taught for your company. |
Catalog courses are never copied into your library. You always use the live shared version, so improvements OneRange makes reach your people automatically, and your customization sits on top.
3. The course page
Everything about one course in one place
Opening a course shows its read-only page first, with Assign, Feedback, Performance, Add to Pathway, Add to program, and Edit for courses you can edit. The edit view adds these cards:
| Skills | Up to five. Vero suggests them at publish; Edit Skills lets you search the skill catalog or add your own. |
|---|---|
| Target Level | Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert. |
| Company Visibility | Visible to all managers and admins, or only you. |
| Description and Context Notes | What the course covers and how Vero should teach it. |
| Reference Documents | Upload, download, Replace with new version, or delete. Each shows whether it is readable. |
| Pinned from Knowledge Library | Add from Knowledge Library pins documents or whole folders to this course. |
| Assessment format & rubric | Change the final assessment format with Save & version. |
| Competency Baseline | Turn the opening diagnostic on or off. |
| Role-Play Capture | Shown when OneRange has enabled it for your company. Lets learners save a role-play and its debrief as a private PDF. |
| Topics | Add, edit, reorder, delete, tag interactive activities, and add media. Generate with AI rebuilds every topic after a confirmation. |
Header actions include Preview (Overview and a Content Outline you can generate), Take Course (assigns it to you and opens it), Assign Course, Share, versions, and Delete.
4. Editing a live course
Changes apply immediately
Edits to a published course go live as soon as you save them. The next time a learner sends a message, Vero teaches from the updated course. Library documents work the same way: a new version is used on the next reply.
Tip: For larger changes, save a version first (below) so you can roll back in one click.
5. Versions and rollback
Snapshots you can restore
Versions are snapshots of a course that you can restore. The button showing the current version, such as v3, opens Course versions.
- After you edit, a banner says your changes are already live and offers Save as new version to lock in a rollback point.
- Add an optional Changelog describing what changed.
- Each saved version has View and Restore. Restoring saves the current state first, then puts the old version back.
- A version captures the name, description, level, context notes, duration, assessment settings, topics and their activities, skills, and documents.
- Past completions stay credited to the version each person took.
- Changing the assessment format with Save & version creates a new version automatically.
- If you leave with unsaved changes, Vero asks whether to snapshot a new version first.
6. Improving courses from feedback
The Feedback tab
Learners rate every course and pathway they finish: enjoyment, satisfaction, confidence they can apply it, whether it was at the right level, and a comment. Courses, Feedback (Admins and Course Managers) brings it together.
| Summary | Courses Needing Review, Total Ratings, and Rated Courses. Switch between Courses and Pathways. |
|---|---|
| Columns | Overall and per-question scores, Level Fit (too easy, just right, too hard), how often learners asked Vero to say it simpler, ratings, pending reviews, the last rating, and a recent low comment. |
| Level mismatch | Flags courses where people with a Beginner baseline are taking Advanced or Expert courses. |
| Detail | Score distribution, baseline levels at the start, fit by topic (hardest first), practice by topic (lowest first), and recent ratings. |
| Actions | Edit course, Improve with AI, and Export CSV. |
Tip: Start with the topic that tops Fit by topic. Rewriting one topic's description or adding one reference document often fixes a course's rating.
7. Visibility, sharing, and previews
Who can see a course
- Company Visibility on: every manager and admin in the company can find the course. Off: only its creator can.
- Share copies a link that opens the course for signed-in admins, managers, and course managers in your company.
- Preview shows the outline Vero will teach from. Take Course lets you experience it exactly as a learner does.
8. Retiring a course
Unassigning and deleting
- A course with assignments in progress cannot be deleted.
- Unassign all removes every assignment for the course, including in-progress sessions, chat history, quiz attempts, and progress. It cannot be undone.
- To retire a course gently, stop assigning it, let current learners finish, then delete it.
- Vero AI Catalog courses cannot be deleted from your library; simply stop assigning them.
9. Common questions
Quick answers
Where did course folders go?
The library now uses search, the All Courses, Created by Me, Created by My Company, and Vero AI Catalog chips, filters, and course families instead of folders.
Can I copy a Vero AI Catalog course and edit it?
Catalog courses are not copied. Assign them as they are and use Customize to change how they are taught for your company.
Do learners mid-course see my edits?
Yes. Edits apply from the learner's next message.
Can I undo a change?
Yes, if you saved a version before it. Open Course versions and click Restore.
Who can edit a course?
Admins can edit any company course. Course Managers can edit the courses they created.
