Plan a whole program from one goal — and three more Vero upgrades

Three releases shipped in OneRange Vero this month. Each one removes a step that used to sit between a leader deciding what their people need and their people actually learning it.

1. Plan From A Goal — our most powerful feature yet

Until now, building a training program in Vero meant thinking like a curriculum designer: pick the courses, order them, spot the gaps, generate what's missing, group it all into a pathway. Plan From A Goal collapses that into one sentence.

You describe the outcome you want in plain language, say who it's for, and Vero returns an ordered program. It looks at your company's existing courses first, then the Vero AI Catalog, and proposes new courses only where nothing covers the gap — so you build the minimum, not the maximum.

A concrete example

Say you run support at a 400-person company. Your team has started using AI to draft replies, quality is uneven, and you have two weeks before the holiday volume spike. You open Courses → Plan From A Goal and type:

You set the audience to Customer Support (48 people), choose Full Program rather than One Course, and leave sources on Existing + New. Vero comes back with a four-course sequence:

Two of those courses already existed in your workspace, so they're reused as-is. Two don't exist anywhere yet, so they're marked Build this — one click generates each one, prefilled from the plan's level, length, and target skills. Nothing is created until you say so: remove a course, add one of your own, or regenerate the whole plan first.

When the sequence looks right, Create Pathway groups it into a single assignable pathway — "Support Team AI Readiness" — and you assign it to all 48 people in one action. What used to be an afternoon of catalog browsing and course authoring is now about ten minutes.

• Every recommendation is explained. Level, length, the skills it covers, and why it's in the plan.
• Reuse beats rebuild. Courses you already own are surfaced before anything new is proposed.
• One scope control. One Course when you need a single fix; Full Program when you need a ladder.
• Nothing is permanent until you commit. The plan is a draft you edit, not an action Vero takes on its own.

2. The company customization layer for the Vero AI Catalog

The Vero AI Catalog gives you expert-built courses on day one. The honest limitation of any shared catalog is that it's generic — it doesn't know your CRM, your products, or how your team handles an objection. This month that stopped being a trade-off.

You can now customize any catalog course for your company without forking it, rewriting it, or losing catalog updates. Three things do the work, and you set them up once:

• Company Context. A short profile — what you do, your products, your CRM and key tools, your methodology, your glossary. It applies automatically to every session of every catalog course, and to the courses and assessments Vero generates for you. Vero can draft it from your Knowledge Library and your public website; you review and approve.
• Knowledge Library grounding. Upload SOPs, playbooks, product docs and policies. Mid-session, Vero retrieves the relevant passages and teaches with them — with citations. Your library is read for your people only.
• Per-course customization. Open any catalog course, click Customize, and write standing instructions under "How We Do This Here". Set each topic to Normal, Emphasize, or Skip. Add the examples, objections and role-play personas Vero should prefer. Pin the documents that always apply.

Changes take effect on the next training turn — including for people already mid-course — and can be paused at any time. Your people see a "Tailored for your company" label on the assignment. The underlying catalog course stays untouched, so catalog improvements keep flowing through to you.

3. Tool proficiency assessments

Most organizations can tell you how many Copilot or ChatGPT licences they've bought. Very few can tell you who is actually good with them. Tool proficiency assessments close that gap: 29 of them are now in the Vero AI Catalog, covering the assistants and tools people genuinely use at work.

Each tool has its own ladder — Essentials, Advanced, and a Mastery assessment — so a first-week user and a power user are measured on different things instead of sharing one blunt score.

Coverage includes ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Grok across all three rungs, plus focused assessments for Claude Code, Cursor, Google Workspace AI, Salesforce Agentforce, Midjourney, and AI image, video and audio tools. Two cross-tool assessments — Multi-Tool Fluency and AI Tool Selection Judgment — measure something more valuable than any single product skill: whether someone picks the right tool for the task at hand.

Results come back per skill against the 10,000-skill taxonomy rather than as a pass mark, so you can see exactly where a team is strong and where the licence spend isn't converting into capability.
