A look at the new features we shipped in Vero over the last two weeks — what they do, who they're for, and where to find them

Welcome to the first Product Updates post. Each month we'll walk through the new features we've shipped in Vero — what they do, who they help, and where to find them in your admin console. This edition covers everything that landed in the last two weeks.

Bring Your Own Quiz

You can now upload your own quiz — a PDF, Word doc, or spreadsheet of questions you already use — and Vero will turn it into the graded assessment at the end of any course. No more rewriting compliance quizzes or certification banks to fit a new platform. Drop the document in, preview the extracted questions, and publish.

This is the most-requested feature from teams replacing an existing LMS. Your existing question banks come with you on day one, and pass-rate reporting still flows into the same Analytics dashboard.

Where to find it: Courses → create or edit a course → Step 2, "Assessment" → Upload quiz.

Four interactive learning modes inside every course

Vero courses are no longer just a single conversation. The AI tutor can now drop into four distinct interactive formats when the topic calls for it: branching scenarios for judgment calls, role-play simulations for hard conversations, hands-on labs for procedures, and flashcards for memorization. Admins choose which formats are eligible per course; the AI picks per topic.

For your buyers and L&D leads, this is the difference between training that asks the learner to read versus training that asks the learner to do. Branching scenarios let salespeople practice discovery without burning a real prospect. Role-play simulations let new managers rehearse tough feedback before they have to deliver it. Hands-on labs walk operators through procedures step by step. Flashcards lock in vocabulary and reference facts.

Where to find it: Courses → edit a course → Interactivity preferences. Toggle which formats the AI can use.

Knowledge Library

Admins now have a central place in Settings to upload the documents that define how your company actually operates: playbooks, policies, brand guidelines, product specs, customer-facing collateral. Once a document is in the Knowledge Library, every course Vero generates will ground its content in those materials — no more re-uploading the same handbook into ten different courses.

Folders, drag-and-drop organization, version uploads, bulk actions, and Excel/PDF/Word/Markdown extraction are all built in. Documents are strictly scoped to your company, so nothing leaks across tenants.

Where to find it: Settings → Knowledge Library.

Voice input in the training chat

Learners can now answer the AI tutor by speaking instead of typing. A microphone button sits next to the chat input; press, talk, release, and the transcript flows straight into the conversation. Pairs naturally with our existing text-to-speech option for a fully hands-free experience — useful for frontline employees, learners on the go, and anyone whose role doesn't put them at a keyboard all day.

Where to find it: any training conversation — the microphone icon appears in the message composer.

Coming next

We'll publish the next round shortly. If there's something you'd like us to highlight — or build — let your account team know.
